
Maria Cristina Martinez-Juan is a scholar, curator and cultural heritage specialist working across Philippine Studies, digital humanities and postcolonial research. She is Research Fellow in Philippine Studies at SOAS University of London and Chair of the SOAS Provenance, Accessibility, Repatriation and Restitution Network. Her work focuses on reconnecting dispersed Philippine collections with their communities of origin and developing more accessible, collaborative approaches to archives, museums and cultural knowledge.
She is currently working on a bilingual illustrated book Ou se yóm Klowit / I Am a Klowit, created with Tboli cultural worker Benjie Manuel, a traditional hunting implement narrates its own life in Tboli and English.
